The Company

Our client is a young pharma company with a special focus in one segment and several international production sites. In this very dynamic segment, the company’s goal is to become the international market leader. The yearly growth rates are >100%. The company is backed by an international well-known private equity firm.

Our client is currently looking for a highly qualified and experienced senior professional (m/f/d) to take over the lead for the company’s transformation activities. As the Chief Transformation Officer (m/f/d), the future job holder is a senior sparring partner for the Top Management (former Top Tier Consultants) with very high visibility and influence across the organization.

We are therefore looking for a particularly strong individual to fit into this ambitious and fast-paced setting. He/she will swiftly work together with the CEO and being used to strictly monitor and ensure progress on all transformation activities.

Your Tasks

  • You will lead the TMO (Transformation Management Office) for the entire group and be responsible for the worldwide production sites. This will encompass corporate and site resources and cover the entire value chain across all functions
  • You will act as CTO in combination to the COO functions
  • Key priorities:
  • Lead the integration and transformation of new manufacturing sites into the existing setting of the group, i.e. execution of transformation and integration projects from conception to bottom line
  • Support the client’s aggressive M&A activities in Europe and North America, from signing to integration together with an experienced M&A team
  • You will be at the center of value creation and actively shape the development of the company. For instance, by supporting the strategic direction of the company as well as its operational implementation
  • Direct reporting line to the CEO; you will be part of the C-level

What You Bring With You

  • Min. 7-15 years of experience in a leading strategy consulting firm or several years of experience in the industry in relevant roles
  • Strong track record as transformation manager, ideally in (international) teams and pharmaceutical environment
  • Deep know-how of pharma production setting, with aspiration to help site heads develop their plant
  • Master’s degree, ideally in engineering or pharmacology, with excellent results
  • Broad experience across different aspects of a business, particularly strong understanding of key financial and business processes of an organization
  • Interest in working in a fast growing and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are mandatory
  • Capability to quickly develop a strong “standing” within the organization
  • Ability to challenge initiative owners in a constructive way with respect to overall feasibility and impact of initiatives
  • Hands-on mentality; down-to-earth attitude
  • Broad set of influencing skills
  • High level of motivation and determination
  • A driven, open, honest and collaborative individual with strong commercial skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a private equity-related environment
  • Fluency in English, German or French considered strong plus
