The Company

Our client is one of the leading Private Equity funds investing in SME companies, located in Munich and specialized in the Industrial Goods & Chemicals, Financial & Business Services, TMT, Consumer Goods as well as Healthcare sectors.

For the transformation program of a portfolio company, we are looking for a senior professional to lead the transformation initiative with profound experience in transformation programs. This transformation program has a very high exposure to the Board as well as high priority with high impact. The Transformation Team is being set up and our client is looking for analytical, hands-on, transformation-driven and international professionals to be part of it.

As CTO you will be part of the Management Team.

Your Tasks

  • Lead the overall transformation, set up a state-of-the-art PMO and coordinate closely with the value creation projects
  • Work closely with Board and Private Equity investor
  • This role’s responsibility encompasses all transition project planning activities around development and implementation of targeted projects to ensure an increasing bottom-line profitability
  • During the implementation phase of Value Creation Programs, your responsibility is to help track progress and report back to senior management any deviations from the original plan in terms of timing, budget, bottom-line impact or cash-flow impact
  • Act together with the management as the main interface between the business unit and the company locally and the private equity fund
  • Support the standardization and harmonization of processes at the local level, and facilitate the roll-out of solutions
  • Drive business transformation and sustain the change required by the corporate agenda. Our client is focused on standardizing and simplifying processes to increase customer satisfaction and business value

What You Bring With You

  • Diploma or Master’s degree, preferably in business administration/information technology
  • Ideally approx. 8-10 years of consulting and operational excellence and transformation experience – you have already managed transformations
  • Experience in working together with private equity investors is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual capabilities
  • Pro-active and independent hands-on working style with ability to deliver high-quality results, even under time pressure
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • SME mindset and experience are of advantage
  • High level of client orientation and strong collaboration skills, ability to work both independently in own area of expertise and cross-functional
  • Absolute ‘can do’ attitude, high degree of motivation and entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, negotiation and mediation) and ability to develop strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders; impact presence and credibility with executive and management level leaders
  • Excellent German and English language skills
