Developer/Architect as Process Owner ServiceNow (m/f/d)

As a ServiceNow Developer/Architect you will be responsible for delivery of complex solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will lead all technical aspects of service, project and solution delivery including architecture, application UI configuration, workflow design, configuration and implementation as well as advising projects on viable technical solution options. You will craft and deliver requirements/design workshop materials, perform elements of solution implementation and drive the completion of key project deliverables, often providing technical oversight to teams of technical consultants and developers.


Your Tasks

  • Creation of data schemas for application topology
  • Consultation with IT internal requesters, projects or business customers on the ITSM platform, its modules and interfaces
  • Design and develop complex solutions based on the requirements
  • Verifying the requirements with the platform's OOB functionality, performing gap analysis and proposing additional platform OOB modules if necessary
  • Estimating effort for all customizations, integrations, configurations and development work
  • Responsible for technical documentation and work instructions for day-to-day operations of new implementations, or their customizations and configurations
  • Ensure system architecture supports business scalability and strategies and meets audit, compliance and security requirements
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet customer needs
  • Provide advice and guidance to get the most out of the platform and learn about the latest features
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and associated applications
  • Manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Hands-on implementation, configuration and customization in the tool
  • Configure the Service Mapping tool and load data / dependencies
  • Performing Application and Service Mapping processes and troubleshooting the errors that arise
  • Review and modify existing ServiceNow CMDB patterns as needed
  • Develop, perform and document automated Discovery procedures, monitor their error logs, troubleshoot and resolve any related issues
  • Lead in the implementing, configuration and maintenance of interfaces and integrations for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data
  • Creating and configuring of reports, dashboards, schedules, access, permissions, credentials and other operational activities or outputs associated with discovery functions
  • Enable, configure and operate discovery of new and existing components and provide automated population of CMDB data by ensuring identification and reconciliation rules

What You Bring With You

  • University degree in IT or business information management or equivalent qualification
  • 4-7 years’ professional experience in developing and implementing ITSM/ITIL and ITOM processes and solutions, with a deep process/functional and technical understanding of the CMDB and CSDM V3 in a global environment, e.g., in IT Management Consulting or on corporate side
  • Advanced experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with practice establishing and maintaining credibility as a ServiceNow expert
  • ServiceNow Certifications for System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM and core ITOM applications
  • ITIL Foundation (minimum) or even better ITIL Expert Certifications
  • Experience soliciting and documenting requirements and evolving these requirements into successful solutions
  • Experience working in a fast pace, ambitious and agile environment
  • Very good spoken and written Business English
  • Experience and comfort in public speaking situations
