The Company

Our client is a renowned large- and mid-cap private equity company. For a recent deal and upcoming acquisition of a leading energy equipment supplier with high levels of brand recognition and state-of-the-art production footprints, we are looking for a Senior Manager Transformation to join the management team in Southern Germany reporting directly to the Director Value Creation & Transformation (m/f).


Your Tasks

  • Driving the transformation and value creation program by identifying, structuring and delivering initiatives – either as project manager or in close interaction with the initiative owners
  • Following up initiatives to ensure their quick realization and the accomplishment of targets
  • Tracking initiative progress: providing transparency, early warning and decisions support for the management team
  • Coordinating cross-functional initiatives
  • Managing critical issues between the parties and acting as mediator if needed
  • Providing consistency to internal discussions and board updates
  • Very interesting compensation package (equity possible)
  • The role does not include direct team responsibility
  • Managing a temporary transition office to design and oversee the carve-out program
  • Managing the Transformation Office that will serve as the nucleus for managing the portfolio of initiatives
  • Acting in a "challenge and support" role vis-à-vis the initiative owners, helping them deliver the targeted results
  • Making sure the initiatives are resourced adequately to deliver their objectives (both internal and – where needed – external resources)
  • Coordinating cross-functional initiatives
  • Ensuring initiatives move into implementation, and to guide them to fast and pragmatic execution
  • Creating transparency and visibility by initiative progress tracking in order to allow for better and faster decision making and results predictability

What you bring with you

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in a TOP tier consulting firm and/or operational/private equity experience
  • Extensive experience in leading projects in transformation, value creation and other private equity related topics.
  • Track record of successfully overseeing demanding international projects, best from previous experience as Principal in top tier consulting firm
  • Experience in large transformation programs and carve outs
  • Broad experience across different aspects of a business, particularly strong understanding of key financial and business processes of an organization
  • Capability to quickly develop a strong “standing” within the organization
  • Hands-on mentality; down-to-earth attitude
