The Company
Our client is an established mid-cap international private equity fund with a long and successful track record and several billion Euros under management. For one portfolio company (a leading Commerce Advertising platform) we are looking for a Head of Data (m/f/d) who will be responsible for defining and executing the data strategy, managing data projects, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.Your Tasks
- Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with the company's business goals, supporting overall growth and success
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers, providing ongoing coaching and support to foster their skills’ development
- Manage the entire lifecycle of data projects, from defining scope and objectives to coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of solutions
What You Bring With You
- Master/Bachelor´s degree in a related field (e.g. computer science, data science, statistics)
- 5+ years of experience in data management and advanced analytics
- Deep understanding of cloud-based data platforms, along with experience handling extensive and intricate datasets
- Exceptional proficiency in SQL, mastery of one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala), and demonstrated expertise in cutting-edge data warehousing, processing, and pipeline development tools such as Airflow, mage.ai, Airbyte, or dbt
- Excellent German (native speaker) & English language skills
