(Strategic-minded) Director Controlling (Member of the TOP Management Team) (m/f)

The company

Our client is a world leader in industrial products for the automotive, energy and other industries with a revenue of several billions of € and worldwide plants and locations. The company has 3 divisions that are organized in independent corporations with a Board and central functions.

For one of the leading divisions (revenue > 1 billion €) we are looking for the overall Director Controlling (m/f) as part of the TOP management team to strategically support the future positioning, new business models and deployment of the company.

Your tasks

Within this entrepreneurial opportunity you will be reporting directly to the com-pany CFO and part of the global Leadership team.

  • You will lead a team of 30 people within 6 sub-groups
  • Your main focus will be to be a counterpart on eye high for the Board and Business Segment Leaders
  • Leading functional excellence and comprehending strategic initiatives imple-menting these into operational measures as well as leading the financial pro-cesses
  • Securing financial transparency and direct the product cost estimation and pricing strategy
  • Support the existing and new technological aspects as well as M&A activities with business modelling, forecasting and partnering models. After this, measures in investment controlling, incl. potential integration activities will be necessary
  • Steering business reviews in order to challenge the financial marks and identi-fy the risks and opportunities while proposing actions
  • Collaboration in regional and global activities for controlling, finance, account-ing, and tax 

What you bring with you

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in financial positions within an international company
  • Since the strategic focus is very important, we are looking for professionals with top tier consulting experience AND experience from an industrial company
  •  You should have been in similar positions already and have people management experience
  • Master’s Degree in Economics or MBA
  • Strong communication, diplomacy skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince others
  • Fluent in English

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
